NA Dairy Technical Services Manager
NORTH AMERICAN DAIRY TECHNICAL SERVICES MANAGER
The North American Dairy Technical Services Manager will be the go-to source for all technical knowledge and support for our proprietary DCAD Feed Additive product line within our Animal Nutrition division. If you find fulfilment in a varied and multifaceted position, with every day being different, this is a fit for you. You could be setting up research projects one day, on farm with an independent dairy nutritionist the next morning and presenting in front of a room to a group of mill-based feed consultants that afternoon. This position will keep you stimulated with clear goals and feelings of accomplishment.
As a North American Dairy Technical Services Manager, this person will be responsible to:
• Support sales team with sales of DCAD Feed Additives
• Position the products and capture opportunities while interfacing with independent and mill-based dairy consultants
• Harness connections to expand knowledge of DCAD feed additive advantages throughout the industry
• Plan and participate in sales strategy and account management
• Develop sales personnel through product and overall nutrition knowledge during training sessions and during ride-alongs
• Support customers with lab analysis and coordination of samples as needed
• Advise and run field trials and controlled studies as needed
• Creatively think of innovative ideas and find opportunities for new Feed Additive products to be developed and/or acquired
• Present data and products in front of groups of nutritionists, dairy farmers, and salespeople
• Continuing education to stay ahead of technology and dairy practices

In addition, this person should possess the following skills:
• Strong understanding of the US dairy industry in different production settings across the country
• Ability to influence fellow dairy nutritionists and make lasting connections
• A history of successful sales increases either in practice or while supporting a sales team
• Excellent written and oral communication skills on all levels, from technical, to conversational
• Collaborator that has a desire to share knowledge and passion of dairy nutrition
• Ability to take on special projects and complete them with a self-starter mentality
• Strong understanding of the US dairy industry in different production settings across the country

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must have the following:
• PhD in Ruminant Nutrition or related field and/or Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DMV) with nutrition experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience in dairy cattle nutrition
• “On Farm” experience, i.e., ration balancing, analyzing feedstuffs, walking cows, etc.
• Ability and willingness to travel 50%+ throughout the U.S. and Canada
• Remote office/field-based location; near a major international airport preferred, suggested cities: Madison, WI, Amarillo, TX, Boise, ID, Ft. Wayne, IN, Grand Rapids, MI, St. Paul, MN
