IT Analyst
Full Job Description
The Help Desk Analyst is responsible for providing technical assistance and follow-up support for incoming calls and inquiries; this may include the installation of hardware, software, and ongoing maintenance of existing systems. In addition, the IT Help Desk Analyst will be responsible for assisting in the design, building, and maintenance of technology-based strategies and solutions to collect, retrieve and transmit information and data.
Essential Duties and responsibilities*
• Provide end user technical support and troubleshooting with network attached equipment such as tablets, laptops, and smart phones
• Troubleshoot computer and related hardware and software issues
• Computer system installation and relocation
• Maintain a neat and organized workspace
• Thorough knowledge of computer hardware maintenance
• Thorough knowledge of Windows OS and server environments
• Follow standard software installation procedures and install a variety of software packages
• Perform OS and software updates as needed
• Front line help desk telephone services
• Perform routine maintenance on computers as needed for support issues or as scheduled maintenance
• Research hardware & software product availability, pricing and specifications
• Assist in organizing software & hardware inventories
• Assist with equipment replacement cycle
• Create and maintain users in Active Directory and MS Exchange/365
• Verify and assist in assuring that workstations and laptops follow standard configuration and contain the expected updates
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Works as a team player that assists in all aspects of the Information Technology Department
• Report to work on time, as scheduled
• Contribute constructively to department meetings and conversations
• Use established “Help Desk” system to monitor and track projects and technical support issues
• Assist in obtaining and preparing data for decision-making, planning and evaluation
• Maintains and assures confidentiality of data
• Prepares and maintains appropriate written documentation for systems, infrastructure, and procedures, write procedures, use knowledgebase and have good documentation process.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor
• General Networking & Trouble Shooting, DHCP, DNS, Firewall configurations
• Participate in ongoing personal development opportunities
• Perform other duties as requested
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience with installing, troubleshooting and maintaining platforms such as Windows OS, Microsoft Office, VMWare, and Server/Switch Environments
• Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) And Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and creating and maintaining users in Active Directory and O365
• Previous experience with equipment such as tablets, laptops, smart phones, and printers
• Must be self-motivated, possess high energy, and an engaging level of enthusiasm and positive outlook
• Strong multi-tasking skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, and ability to adapt communication style to the audience as needed
• Act legally and ethically in all professional relationships in adherence with Barentz’ culture, values and fundamentals
• Ability to work independently as well as be a team player
• Ability to support by phone and in person hardware and software issues
• Comfortable calling 3rd party vendors

Supplemental Pay:
