Pricing Analyst
We're looking to add to our team a full-time Pricing Analyst who will serve as a critical partner in Barentz' strategic focus on pricing and profitability in the North American market. In support of our three pillars of Targeted Aggressive Growth, Continuous Improvement, and Market Leadership, the Pricing Analyst will assist in the development and execution of pricing strategies and tactics, and ongoing evaluation of performance. Below are some essential responsibilities of the position -
- Conduct operational pricing activities to effectively and accurately implement price changes and send customer communications in support of corporate pricing objectives
- Provide data, analytics, and insights to identify margin improvement opportunities, and deliver value-added information to the organization
- Calculate and evaluate costs, prices, margin $ and margin $, and project future impacts
- Understand and utilize economic, financial, and industrial data
- Partner with product management, sales, procurement, and operations teams to ensure execution of priorities
- Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in cross-functional departments
- Effectively manage competing priorities, with consideration to highest level of business impact while also maintaining control over multiple priorities simultaneously
- Prioritize & deliver all assigned project tasks per project timeline on-time with quality results.
- Initiate, lead, and execute pricing process improvement projects
- Assist in the integration of newly acquired entities into the ERP and CRM system
- Participate in ongoing personal development opportunities
Qualifications for the position include the following -
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics or related discipline
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in related field; Pricing administration experience a plus.
- Experience in B2B manufacturing and/or distribution industries; Chemicals industry experience preferred
- Strong understanding of pricing mechanisms including profitability
- Software knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau or other BI tool a plus
- Experience with CRM tool such as Chempax a plus
- Ability to execute on goals, provide exceptional follow through and excellent customer service
- Demonstrated success in a fast-paced and often changing environment
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to adapt communication style to the audience as needed
- Work effectively with others to identify and resolve issues
- Self-motivated, high energy, engaging level of enthusiasm and positive outlook
