Bulab Flamebloc

Bulab Flamebloc barium metaborate is a fire retardant and smoke suppressant for use in plastics, paints, textiles, and rubber compounds. Since it is borate based, Bulab Flamebloc will provide char formation and subsequent smoke suppression. Bulab Flamebloc is recommended for applications with stringent smoke requirements. It performs best when used as a synergist with halogen containing compounds. In many applications, Bulab Flamebloc can be used as a partial or total replacement for antimony based compounds. Substitution of Bulab Flamebloc for antimony trioxide in fire retardant products can provide the following benefits: raw materical cost saving; reduced smoke; improved resistance to flamelss combustion; reduced toxicity of fumes emitted during combustion.
