1K Moisture Cured Isocyanate Prepolymers from Huntsman

Moisture cure polyurethanes are high molecular weight, low free isocyanate content MDI based prepolymers, that cure by the reaction with moisture from the environment to form urea linkages. They may be used alone or with fillers, pigments, or additives to modify properties or lower cost. 1K isocyanates are easy to use since they consist of one part only and prevent the possibility of mixing errors in the field.

Rubinate 9511 and Rubinate 9234 are the products of choice for a variety of one component moisture cured adhesives and coating applications that require a high performance. These products display excellent adhesion values to a variety of substrates and demonstrate outstanding strength in coating applications. These prepolymers are somewhat rigid and have low elongation; therefore, are recommended for applications in which strength is required. They are highly recommended for:

• Wood Adhesives
• Industrial Floor Coatings

Rubinate 9272 and Rubinate 9040 are recommended for applications which require a tough yet flexible performance. The tensile strength values are lower, but the elongation values are quite high. These products are recommended in applications which call for elasticity:

• Caulks and Sealants
• Flexible Adhesives
• Binders for rubber crumb running tracks, parking blocks, and skived mats & tapes
