Klucel™ - hydroxypropylcellulose NF, Ph.Eur., JP, ChP

Hydroxypropylcellulose (HPC) provides a remarkable set of physical properties for tablet binding, modified release, film coating, and hot melt extrusion. The versatility of Klucel™ hpc is apparent in a variety of pharmaceutical applications. Low molecular weight grades provide not only unmatched, efficient tablet binding but also adhesive and elastic tablet coating. They can also be used in melt-extrusion applications. High molecular weight grades are typically used for modified release, especially in matrix tablets.
