SANTICIZER® Plus – Low TPP content, phosphate ester flame retardants

SANTICIZER® Plus – Low TPP content, phosphate ester flame retardants

The Santicizer® Plus products from Valtris Specialty Chemicals are fast-fusing, non-halogen, fire retardant plasticizers used in multiple polymer systems that have been developed to have extremely low TPP content (< 0.1%) to accommodate requirements of the market and meet future expected regulatory requirements. Typical phosphate ester flame retardants frequently contain triphenyl phosphate (TPP) as a minor component.

These plasticizers are recommended for applications where there is a need to reduce the risk of fire and suppress smoke. In PVC applications, Santicizer® Plus Phosphate Esters act as a high solvating plasticizer, offering performance, faster fusion and high plasticizing efficiency. The Santicizer® Plus products can be used to replace antimony trioxide (ATO) in many applications.

• Santicizer® 141 Plus – 2-Ethylhexyl Diphenyl Phosphate
• Santicizer® 148 Plus - Isodecyl Diphenyl Phosphate
• Santicizer® 2148 Plus - Alkyl Aryl Phosphate

The Santicizer® Plus product line can be used in flexible PVC, plastisols, polyurethane, rubber, acrylics, epoxy and polyester systems. Applications range from construction, automotive, and aerospace to calendared films, wire & cable and fabric coatings. With the development of the Santicizer Plus product range, Valtris has taken a leading role in combining safety and high performance.
